About the role

Grants are the primary funding mechanism for the House of Afghanistan at this stage of our growth. We are looking for a skilled volunteer Grant Writer to identify funding opportunities and make the case for why our work deserves support.

Ideal for: experienced grant writers, nonprofit professionals, or strong writers with an interest in cultural philanthropy.

What you'll do
  • Researching federal, state, foundation, and private grant opportunities
  • Writing grant proposals and letters of inquiry
  • Tracking deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborating with board members on strategy and narratives
