About the role

The Cultural Ambassador Docent is the public face of the House of Afghanistan at Balboa Park. You will greet visitors, answer questions about Afghan heritage, history, and culture, and represent the house with warmth and dignity. No formal expertise is required — only genuine curiosity and a willingness to share. Training is provided. Broken English is welcome; spirit speaks louder than fluency.
