Volunteer role

Transcriber & Translator

Turn recordings and old texts into written Farsi and English, so a story told once can be read for generations.

About the role

A story told once fades; a story written down endures. Transcribers and translators turn our recordings and old documents into clean, searchable text — in Farsi, in English, often both — so that what an elder said in an afternoon can be read for generations.
