Every year, the Folk Rhythms Festival transforms Central Cultural Park into a vibrant mosaic of movement, sound, and tradition. What begins as the first drumbeat quickly becomes a celebration of identity—where dancers, musicians, families, and culture lovers gather to honor the rhythms that shaped their heritage.
This year’s festival brought together communities from across the region, each group sharing the folk dances, melodies, and ceremonial movements carried through generations. From energetic stomping patterns to soft, delicate hand gestures, every performance held the weight of memory—and the joy of connection.
The air was alive with color. Traditional costumes reflected the craftsmanship of their origins: embroidered patterns, woven belts, hand-dyed fabrics, and symbolic motifs that told stories even before the dancers began to move. Visitors wandered through craft stalls, listened to live instrumental demos, and learned the meaning behind the steps performed on stage.
